Vibrant red boat on beautiful sunny day in the Boston Harbor. This boat was one of a few light vessels used as a "lighthouse" south of Nantucket Island. This boat was the last lightship seen departing the US, as well as the first seen on arrival. It was positioned about 40 miles southeast of Nantucket Island, making it the farthest lightship in North America. The Nantuckets were in use for 165 years. Charlestown Massachusetts can be seen in the background
