(BTW, an extraordinary movie about perfumes with reference to Grasse too with Dustin Hoffman as a Master perfumer and a perfume crazy apprentice; one of the most enticing and scary movies - but beautiful! - I ever saw!) fav and v.

Thanks for the info. So lavender was out in proliferation in Marseilles in June... Interesting... I think its later is some of the higher areas... I am thinking maybe very late June or early July would be my best bet for general Provence/Luberon area... Now just need to gather my pennies and plan that trip!!

I am really hoping to visit Provence during lavender blooming season. When and where was this? It must have been a photographer's dream to have this photo opp!
